Maui Golf Rounds Presents:
The Challenge at Manele

Manele Course Lanai

An outstanding target-style course, this Jack Nicklaus design is uniquely placed on acres of natural lava outcroppings among Kiawe trees. Many of the holes are constructed on the side of a hill above the ocean, and every hole offers a fantastic view of the ocean.

From all but the forward tees, virtually every tee shot requires you to cross a mini-canyon to get to the fairway. The fairways are open and the greens are small and fast. The signature hole is No. 12, a beautiful 202-yard par-3, which requires players tee off from a cliff over the ocean to a green located on another cliff. The 17th hole demands a 215-yard carry over the ocean from the back tee.

The course has several blind tee and approach shots with fairway bunkers scattered throughout many landing areas.

The 458-yard, par-4 16th hole has a bunker in the middle of the fairway. Players must go either left of right and strategically attack this beast.
